The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone B, has condemned in strong terms, early Monday bomb blast at Nyanya, Abuja, that left 75 people dead and 140 injured.

The body noted that the incident calls for sober reflection by all the youths of this country, wondering “what is wrong with this Country, whom have we offended; because in all of these blast/explosion, the youths/Students are the most affected.

It further lamented that the killing of innocent Nigerian citizens has turned to a daily routine by these blood sucking demons masquerading as Islamic apologist, when Islam itself as a religion, is a religion of peace.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Union, Pedro Obi, reads “This senseless killings has to stop, we call for the complete overhauling of the Nations Security Agencies and immediate probe of yesterday’s incidence and the findings made public with immediate effect by the Federal Government.

“The bomb blast is a clear indication that there is a strong orchestrated conspiracy against this administration, owing to the fact that the State of Emergency in the 3 North Eastern State is suppose to elapse in few days from now. This is a pointer that some wicked persons in high places are eating fat with this State of Emergency and we call on the Federal Government to immediately act now and stop the killing of innocent Nigerians on a daily basis. In as much as we believe the Federal Government is doing some work to curb this insurgent, we feel there is need to change tactics and inject new idea to stop this well coordinated fight against the State.

“In the same vein, we condole with the families of the blast victims, who lost their loved ones and pray that God will give the families the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, and to the injured ones, we pray for quick healing and recovery from the trauma of the incident. “And to the general public, let’s be security conscious. Enough is Enough”!
